Ember

A dark little coffee room on Mostyn Street. Low light, good beans, and a chair that’s hard to leave.

The Room

We keep the
lights low.

Ember is one room, painted dark, with the lamps turned down and the music kept beneath conversation. It’s built for the long sit — the second cup, the unhurried chapter, the friend who arrives an hour late.

Mornings are for espresso and something warm from the counter. By late afternoon the front windows go gold, the candles come out, and the room settles into its proper self. We don’t rush the table, and we don’t mind the dog.

Somewhere to be warm, in a town that’s mostly weather.

Dogs welcome

Every one of them, on any chair they can talk you into. Water bowls by the door and a biscuit behind the counter.

Free Wi-Fi

Fast, free and no sign-up form. Work the morning away — we’ll only start hovering if you’re still here at closing.

Open ’til late

Eight in the morning until late, every day of the week. The last hour is the best one, and most people never see it.
